Natalija Žunko je začela delovne izkušnje pridobivati že v času študija, ko je na Srednji ekonomski šoli v Mariboru kot zunanja sodelavka poučevala računovodstvo. Leta 1999 se je zaposlila na Ekonomskem institutu Maribor d.o.o., Centru razvoja človeških virov. Danes je zaposlena na Fundaciji za izboljšanje zaposlitvenih možnosti PRIZMA, ustanova, kot vodja razvoja in kakovosti. Njeno delo predstavlja načrtovanje, pripravljanje, vodenje, koordiniranje, izvajanje, spremljanje in evalviranje domačih in mednarodnih  projektov s področij trga dela in zaposlovanja (brezposelnih, mladih, starejših)i, medgeneracijskega sodelovanja, svetovanja podjetjem.

Pri izvajanju delavnic, usposabljanj za različne ciljne skupine (brezposelne, mlade, ženske, zaposlene) uspešno uporablja participativne metode in tehnike. Z namenom podpore razvoja prilagojenih programov usposabljanja ter sistemskega uvajanja razvoja človeških virov v podjetjih izvaja različne analize potreb. Pri svojem delu se nenehno usposablja. Opravila je strokovni izpit iz zavarovanja in zaposlovanja za primer brezposelnosti, pridobila kompetence za e-tutorja in e-mentorja, nadgrajevala znanja na področju uporabe inovativnih pristopov pri poučevanju in učenju za večjo usposobljenost in konkurenčnost brezposelnih oseb. Je certificirana svetovalka na področju razvoja kariere zaposlenih, oblikovanja in izvedbe programov usposabljanja za podjetja in zaposlene, s poudarkom na načelu enakosti med spoloma (gender mainstreaming) pri Akzente – Zentrum fűr Gleishstellung und regionale Zusammenarbeit in eb Projektmanagement GmbH - NOWA Training Beratung Projektmanagement. S svojimi prispevki sodeluje na raznih konferencah, sejmih, festivalih, je pa tudi soavtorica več publikacij s področij razvoja človeških virov in vseživljenjskega učenja.

Natalija Žunko started to gain work experience while studying, teaching accounting in Secondary school for economics. In 1999 she was employed part-time in Economic Institute Maribor, Human resource development centre, and part-time in PRIZMA Foundation for Improvement of Employment Possibilities. Today she is Quality and Development Manager in PRIZMA Foundation. Her field of work is planning, preparation, managing and evaluation of local and international projects in the field of labour market, employment (unemployed), intergenerational cooperation and advising to companies. In implementing workshops, trainings for different target groups (unemployed, young, women, employed) she successfully uses participative methods and technics. With the purpose to support development of adjusted programmes of training and systematic introduction to Human Resource Development in companies she implements different analyses of needs. She is continuously upgrading her knowledge. She passed exam for an expert in insurance and employment in case of unemployment, got references for e-tutor and e-mentor, up-graded her knowledge in the field of uses of innovative approaches in teaching and learning for bigger trainability and competitiveness of unemployed persons. She is a certified adviser in the field of career development of employees, developing and implementing of training programmes for companies and employees with the emphasis on the principle of gender equality (gender mainstreaming) at Akzente – Centre for Equality and regional Cooperation in project management GmbH – NOWA Training, Advising, Project management. She participates with contributions in different conferences, fairs, festivals and is also co-author of different publications in the field of Human Resource Development and lifelong learning.
