Project Information

Mobita SI-AT is a mobile career guidance model that will provide pupils aged 9 to 15 with information about their abilities, skills and interests—including for the professions of the future—through half-day, interactive testing procedures with several hands-on stations and standardised assessments.

Why is there a need for a mobile career guidance model?

Current career guidance models in Slovenia and Austria largely depend on the engagement of individuals or schools and often have a shortcoming: they assess talents only from a subjective perspective and include them in counselling procedures. Assessments and feedback are often not very substantive, and even more often they do not enable a link to the professions of the future. In addition, hands-on assessments are largely available only in urban centres, which means that children or pupils, due to where they live and limited mobility, do not have equal opportunities to access them.

In the cross-border pilot project, together with the project partners, over the next three years we will:

Develop and pilot an innovative career guidance model, including a digital and largely automated assessment process (75 pilot tests with at least 1,500 participating pupils).
Provide pupils (9–15) with a new, high-quality and accessible range of career guidance services and testing of abilities, skills and interests. Teachers, career counsellors and parents will thus be able, together with pupils, to use the test results in the further decision-making process regarding their career path.
Provide schools in the programme area with systematic monitoring and support in career guidance.
Train career guidance staff in the programme region to work with the new career guidance model (mobile talent testing stations).
A SI-AT career platform will be established to promote cross-border cooperation and information exchange, where stakeholders will collaborate in developing and implementing new activities in the field of career guidance in both Slovenia and Austria.
Ensure the implementation of joint research, the development of new concepts, networking and events through which we will contribute to disseminating the results of our work, and to the systematic integration of career guidance into long-term and sustainable policies and programmes in both Slovenia and Austria.

Talentarij: Discover the universe of your potential!

In Slovenia, we developed the mobile career guidance model under the name Talentarij, and it is intended for pupils in the 8th grade of primary school.

Just as a planetarium offers the experience of exploring celestial bodies, Talentarij enables young people to explore their inner potential, interests and talents.
