Project Information
START YOUR CAREER WITH POTENTIAL! 2.0 in Podravje is intended for:
- employees whose work is precarious – due to threatened employment, temporary forms of work, or precarity (including self-employment);
- companies facing restructuring, technological and organizational changes, and wishing to provide employees with timely professional support in developing competencies and planning their next career steps.
The program offers participants a clear, guided path: from an introductory informational workshop to an individual career plan and targeted training (16–100 hours). This reduces the risk of falling into unemployment and enhances flexibility in the labor market.
For employers, the program helps to responsibly support employees during times of change, reduce uncertainty within the organization, strengthen trust and reputation in the local community, and facilitate the transition of departing or relocated colleagues to new positions.
Project Objectives
- preventing the transition to unemployment and reducing the risks of precarity,
- improving employment opportunities and competencies for more stable, higher-quality employment,
- strengthening the ability to independently manage one's career and providing support in career decisions,
- developing digital competencies and knowledge for the green transition (including the circular economy),
- connecting with employers and the local community for better transfer of acquired knowledge into practice,
- timely preparation for changes and transitions to new positions or retention of employment.
The project is implemented in close cooperation with the Employment Service of Slovenia – Regional Office Maribor and Regional Office Ptuj, employers, and other regional stakeholders (chambers, trade unions, development institutions, etc.).
Activities are carried out by arrangement, either at companies or at the premises of Fundacija PRIZMA: Tkalski prehod 4, 2000 Maribor (1st floor).

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE
employees whose employment or self-employment is threatened or temporary due to various changes.
A) employed persons who meet the status requirement as defined in point 5 of Article 5 of ZUTD:
- persons serving their notice period;
- persons whose work will become redundant;
- persons employed on a fixed-term basis whose employment contract expires within three months at the latest.
B) persons – employed or self-employed, for whom there is a risk of precarity:
- persons employed on a fixed-term basis;
- persons employed under a contract for part-time work, where the right to part-time work does not arise from statutory rights (e.g., the need to reconcile professional and private life in accordance with Article 65a of ZDR-1 or in special cases in accordance with Article 67 of ZDR-1);
- self-employed person (as defined in point 12 of Article 5 of ZUTD).
